The Best Online Business Schools...

How To Find Them

When it comes to selecting the best online business schools and universities, accreditation is key.

Google

There are hundreds of such institutions across the U.S and Canada, all claiming to be the best. The truth is that many of them are simply diploma mills that charge you for a poor quality education that is rejected in the workplace.

The top online business schools have both regional accreditation and Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)accreditation.

The AACSB is the premier accrediting body for business degree programs. Unlike other accreditation agencies, the AACBB accredits programs not schools.

Intel Corporation and other companies refuse to reimburse employees who take courses at online schools of business that lack AACSB accreditation.

Furthermore, graduates taking courses at a non-accredited online business schools wouldn't be able to transfer their credits to an approved institution.

The following internet business schools are among the best because they offer both regional and AACSB accredited programs:

2. Marist College

3. Northeastern University

4. Tulane University

There is another agency that accredits business degrees that has not been around as long as the AACSB but whose acceptance and respect is growing.

The Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs(ACBSP) is a legitimate national accreditation agency, just like the AACSB, and is also CHEA recognized.

However, the ACBSP is generally not held in as high a regard as the AACSB. Business programs at schools like Norwich University and the Grand Canyon University online MBA degree programs are ACBSP accredited.

So, with the top two business accreditation agencies available, where does this leave us?

The consensus is that you should aim to attend distance learning business schools accredited by the AACSB as it is the oldest, most respected, most popular agency of its kind.

Conversely, some experts believe, that except for jobs in academia, most employers don't understand accreditation enough to distinguish between the various levels of accreditation. Nor, do they care to know.

They also believe that in a job interview, the reputation of the job seeker's college will supersede the reputation of national accreditation most of the time.

Nonetheless, it would definitely be to your benefit to request more information from the following AACSB accredited schools. Just fill out the free form to get details on the courses of your choice.
